Osterman is able to review the whole D&B process of a mine from short term planning, design down to implementation and optimisation. To offer a complete package we generally recommend a review of the Site Operational Procedures (SOP) followed by an audit of the procedures against the SOP’s. Specialising in D&B Design and Performance Monitoring, we are able to offer a complete package to help optimise operations once the site KPI’s are identified.
We have built a review system that compares the mine procedures to best practices, scoring the site on all its D&B procedures against best practices as well as recommending improvement. The aim is to run the review on an annual basis to access the improvements from year to year.

Demolition blasting is the most time and cost effective method of demolition which is often overseen due to the perceived danger of explosives. Contrary to belief, demolition blasting is the safest demolition method. Mechanical demolition requires workers to be exposed to the structure while it is destabilised. Demolition blasting removes all personnel from the structure before the structure is collapsed.
